Woohoo! Its warm outside!

It took awhile to get to the warm weather this year and then when it did come it was rain rain rain rain!  But when it was nice the kids were all outside enjoying the short window of that niceness!!
Abby has gotten into giving piggyback rides-so Lacey, Dylan and Colby dont hesitate to take advantage of it!
Colby-the-raisin-bandit stikes again.  I don't know what it is about this kid and raisins but he loves them and once again my Raisin Bran is now raisinless.

Dylan's B-day!

Dylan had is first "friend" birthday party this year and after it was done Bryan said he would pay for a party at McDonalds for next year!!  hahahaha!!  It went really well he had 6 of his friends over.  Dylan wanted a Hot Wheels party this year.
So we got the Pine Wood Derby track and set it up in the living room and let the boys race hot wheels!!  They had a total blast and were setting up roadblocks to see if the cars would make it past.  It was so funny to watch them.  But I do have say that those 7 boys were way louder that the 5 girls at Abby's party!
Jeff came out for the weekend and I am so glad he did!  Not only do we have tons of fun together and laugh ALOT, he was awesome in helping me herd all those boys!  We ended up taking them outside and playing some yard games and letting them burn off some of their never ending energy!

T-ball!

Dylan started T-ball this summer.  After his soccer career ended last fall we decided that we would let him try baseball and see if that was a better fit!  So far he likes it, but I dont hold out too much hope for him sticking with it although he might surprise me!

Bubbles!

We bought a bubble gun and Colby loves it!!  I mostly got it for me because he loves bubbles and there is only so long you can sit and blow bubbles!  This way it shoots out tons and he can have fun with them.  And the totally cool thing about it is that the bubbles dont pop when they hit the grass so then he gets to stomp on them!  And another bonus-they bubble smell like green apple!  So after he is done playing he smells nice and sweet!!  hehehe!!
Lacey and Abby had work really hard to get it away from Colby so they could have a turn-he does not give that thing up lightly!

Abby's Spring Recital!

Abby had her spring recital last weekend.  She was awesome and has grown so much as a dancer this year!  She took Ballet and since she moved up a level she was able to start taking Lyrical this year.  She is totally in love with Lyrical which makes me excited because it is one of my favorite styles.
Anyway every year they do a production number with all the Ballet classes.  They are usually really awesome and beautiful but this year I had major problems with it and so did alot of other moms so that made me feel better!  To me the recital is to show what they have been learning all year in class.  So this year the Ballet number was Four Weddings and a Funeral (dont ask why they picked that movie noone really knows).  And Abbys level and another level were in chairs.  the whole time.  and then all the older girls are standing in front of all the younger girls and you cant see them at all!  I was like "ummm, yeah this is stupid!"   So they are in chairs and all the dancing is done by all the older girls.  I did email the owner and said that I was not thrilled about not being able to see my daughter dance at all.  And when she was putting together the shoe for next year that it would be nice if she kept in mind that parents of the younger girls would also like to see thier daughter dance some ballet also.  Oh man it made me so frustrated!!  So here is to hoping for next year!  If she doesnt change it up then I might have to get a little "Dance Mom Mean"!!
But putting that whole thing aside Abby totally loved her Lyrical number!  I just wish she would dance it in class or on stage as she does it at home!!  She is more into it at home and gets self conscience and a little stiff in class.  I keep telling her to loosen up and have fun in class!!  She is just so sweet and is just counting down the years till she is old enough to go on point.  Thats what she really was to dance.  That will be a happy day at our house!
Abby got her 5th year award this year for danceing for 5 years at the Studio (obviously!!)!!  She was sooo excited!!
Abby and her friend Ireland waiting for Ballet to be called!

Snow Pics!

Man I have been completly horrible about blogging so far this year!  It isnt that I dont have stuff to post it is that we dont have heat in the basement and thats where the computer it and it is COLD COLD COLD!!  But my Dad is fixing my laptop again so hopefully it stays fixed and then you will have more posts to see because I know you are just dying to know what we are up to!!  hahahaha!
So anyway I knew I wanted to take some pics of the kids in the snow so one day after the kids got out of school I took them over to a park and we got some fun pics!  It had snowed earlier that day so all the snow looked so beautiful in the trees!

Christmas Morning!

Here is a pic of our Christmas card this year!  It turned out awesome!  although it was a hard pic to get because Colby didnt want to have anything to do with holding the lights!  It took alot of talking and I think he went through a couple candy canes!
We had a great Christmas this year and actually got some pics of the kids unwrapping gifts.  That usually doesnt happen since I usually am the one to take pics and am usually passing out the presents so a huge hug and a thanks to Bryan who picked up the camera this year!!
As you can see Abby is already in character to were her Cinderella shirt!
One of Lacey's favs is her Ponyville train, although she has to fight with Colby to play with it!  He doesnt care that it is purple all he sees is a train moving by itself!
Bill and Jenny came up to watch kids unwrap gifts in the morning and everytime Colby would get one he would take it over to Jenny to have some help-it was so super cute!
Another awesome gift was they all got a new fleece blanket.  I dont know why but my kids are blanket hoarders!  They dont think that you can have too many blankets-Bryan says otherwise, but as for me I agree with the kids!  Plus it is an easy gift and I know they will always be excited!
Dylan got a headlamp-which he totally loves but also has to fight Colby for!
The big family gift this year was Just Dance Disney Party and I think Abby almost peed her pants when that one was opened!  She was so excited!  They have played it just about everyday and its been fun to watch them try to get the hang of it!
Anyway hope you had a great Christmas!!  This wraps up my get this year all posted before the new year starts blog dump!  But I am sure I will find a couple pics that I forgot later on!!

Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve is usually spent at Bryan's parents house and is always tons of fun!  We started the evening off with some super awesome Christmas Karaoke!
While the singing was going on Colby saw the wide open floor and just couldnt hold himself in anymore and had to roll all over it!  So everyone took turns rolling around the floor with him!  He totally loved it!  He was just laughing and laughing!
Next Jenny had a game where you hold a ribbon with a red pompom tied to it and then put vasaline on your nose and try to get the pompom to stick to your nose like you are Rudolf!  Another crowd pleaser and totally funny to watch!
When Bryan was growing up the kids would put on a little talent show on Christmas Eve and since all the grandkids are now old enough to participate it has been reinstated!
Sasha and Abby sang a song together-they did awesome of course!
My guys with Sasha added in made paperbag reindeer puppets and sang Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.  Highlight of the evening for everyone I am sure! hehehe!
And of course there is always lots of yummy food but I think what the kids liked most were the chocolate covered apples!  They were so dang cute and must have taken forever to make!
Super fun night and best part was by the time we got home it was off to bed with the kids, who thankfully fell asleep super fast and bonus for me all the presents were already wrapped and ready to go so I didnt have to spend the rest of my evening wrapping!  It was awesome!!
