New Moon!!

Alright I thought New Moon was fantastic!!! I totally loved it! I was able to got with 4 friends and we had such a blast. We went out to eat and then headed over to the movie-we had a little wait but it was fun to just talk and laugh without any little kids interrupting and asking for stuff! We had 3 Team Edwards and 2 Team Jacobs in our group (-why anyone is Team Jacob I dont understand but whatever!) so it was pretty funny the comments that went around!

I will admit that I am a nerd so I made little New Moon goody bags! They were so much fun-I was able to find some fun stuff-I think they all liked them! If not well-they were fun to put together!

So anyway I was very satisfied with the movie-the wolves were awesome-and they almost put in everything I wanted to see. The one part I wanted to see was Alice's conversation with Charlie about Bella-I thought that part went a little fast-but all the Volturi stuff was fantastic and the guy who plays Aro was so funny.

So anyway not a shocker that I loved it and cant wait for it to come out on DVD!

The oven makeover

Well if you know my kids you know that they are in no way camera shy!! The other day we were all sitting in the living room watching some cartoons and having some down time and Abby was like "hey mom take a picture!". I looked over and the three of them were sitting with ready smiles for a snap shot. That is the pic on the header-it turned out so cute! I love my little guys!!

Falling in leaves!

Having a little fun in the leaves!! We have so many it is ridiculous!! It is kida hard ot tell but Abby i s sitting on her bike, and that isn't even all the leaves from the yard!

Halloween!

This years Halloween was fun as always-how can Halloween not be fun?!! Abby was a princess Tiana, the new Disney Princess, Dylan was Leonardo, the blue Ninja Turtle (his current obsession) and Lacey was Tinkerbell. The all looked so cute! We started celebrations off on Wednesday at our Branch's Trunk or Treat.

Thursday Abby had a costume Parade at school that was way cute. They started the parade off with The Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2 plus a couple others!

Saturday was actual trick or treating in our little town. So Bryan decided to stay home and pass out candy and I braved it with all 3 kids! Go me!!! The kids were awesome-Lacey was done with all the excitement before Abby and Dylan were so she just hung out in the stroller while we just finished up. They ended up with a ton of candy but supriseingly enough hardly any tootsie rolls and only 2 peices of gum. I thought that was kinda crazy! Sunday was trick or treating out at Bryan's moms little houseing area so he took Abby and Dylan over there. It was crazy!! They went to about 10 houses and ended up with almost the same amount they had gotten the night before!!! Totally nuts!!

Hopefully those of you who visit us here got a good chuckle when you saw the new look! And contrary to popular belief I do not live and breathe Twilight-I do have other interest!! I did this for fun, for those who think I am a total nerd and mostly for Bryan who thinks I am crazy! So enjoy it while it last-I am changing it after New Moon comes out! But don't forget to ask Edward a question on the sidebar! I saw that and it made me laugh so I just had to share it!

How fun is this?!

Summit announced today that they are re-releasing Twilight in theaters for 1 night on Nov. 19th. Apparently people have been requesting this-didnt know you could do that!! So now you can see Twilight and New Moon back to back in the theater! How fun is that?! Totally something to look into!! Although the only way it would be worth it would be if they were showing them in the same theater otherwise you wouldnt be able to get in line in time to get a good seat!! Oh and the tickets might even be a discounted price since it is already out on DVD. Might be looking into that!

Fall!

I love fall! This is our tree in the front yard. Isnt is awesome?! I love all the colors of fall, the bad thing about all those awesome colors is the raking of all those leaves! This isn't the only tree in our yard, so all our trees plus the neighbor's trees and thier leaves all add up to ALOT of leaves as you can see you can barely see the grass already! It usually ends up taking up a couple hours just to rake them up and then a couple truck loads to get them to the city compost. It is a lot of work that I dont really enjoy but the kids sure love them! We will be getting those pics soon!

Tinkerbell and Cave Drawings

This is a little late but a couple weeks ago we had Lacey birthday party with the fam-I was running around a couple hours before trying to find a cake topper because Wal-Mart wont sell them at the bakery any more-stupid Wal-Mart! So as I was running around it was getting later and later so I decided I probably wasn't going to have time to make a cake never mind get it decorated so I went over to bakery to see if they had a cute ready made cake or some cupcakes and totally scored!! They had a Tinkerbell Fairy cake just sitting on the shelf -it was waiting just for me!! I was so excited!! Lacey totally loved it-she loves loves Tinkerbell! Last week I was really busy and was gone 3 evenings in a row! Bryan wasn't thrilled at all (that's putting it mildly!) but since he has spent the last 2 semesters gone every evening to class I deserved it right!! I tried not to let my mothers guilt get in the way! So obviously Bryan was in charge of getting kids to bed, so he would do that and everything went well unfortunately he went into "Dad Mode" you know the everything-is-quiet-so-everything-is-fine way of thinking and then they tune out any noise at all. Well friday I went into the kids room, and something on the wall caught my eye. Abby was having a little fun while Daddy was in charge!!

When I politely and calmly asked her what we color on, she gave me a hesitant "paper" answer. So I asked her "then why were you drawing on your wall?", she just looked at me with this "duh" kinda of look and said "Well I had to practice my numbers".

Not an Announcement!

The other day we were on our way to Abby's dance class and she says "Mom, I just need to know something." So I asked her what and she says "I need to know where babies come from." So my minds starts frantically coming up with answers that would satisfy her curiosity and I answered "Heaven". She says "Heaven? O.k. well we need 1 more baby, so we can have 4 kids. And need to be a boy baby so we can have 2 boys and 2 girls. So what should his name be?" I was just laughing. So she starts listing name and came up Nathan Colby. And she also decided that his birthday will be in July. So then she starts talking about her baby boy Nathan and on and on about things she will do with him and it will be so much fun and ends this with , "but we can't bring him home till after your belly gets big.". Interesting. But like the title of the post THIS IS IN NO WAY AN ANNOUNCEMENT OR WILL THERE BE ONE IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!!!!

New Moon Tickets!!!

Well after lots of waiting and checking-daily, sometimes twice a day to be honest, for New Moon tickets to go on sale-I GOT SOME!!!! WooHoo!! After hearing that tickets were going on sale early I was way excited and then I found out that our theater wasent selling them and according to them they didnt know when they would be. Bummer! So I checked the website-alot. Then reports came in that showings we selling out!! Oh noo!! So there are a couple of people I am going with and since I am the OCD one of the group and would be the first to get a ticket because I dont like to take chances by waiting, it was decided that I would buy all of them. Which works for me because then I know for sure that we are all going to the same showing!! Funny thing too is that Bryan mentioned that I was checking for tickets to the ladies he works with and they told him to tell them when I got my tickets so they would know when they went on sale! Totally funny!! So if you are in the area and are dying to see the movie and are nerdy enough to want to go to the midnight showing grab a ticket and give me a call and come with us!!!

Lacey's Party!

We had some friends over to celebrate Lacey's birthday. It was tons of fun of course! We always have fun with the Butlers! Lacey was so funny when we went to sing to her she immediatly folded her arms because she thought we were going to say a prayer and looked around like why isn't anyone else doing this?! It was totally funny! She loved her presents, a TinkerBell and Rosetta dolls from us and a bag full of candy and some jammies from the Butlers. Jen, who I will get back some how one of these days, gives Lacey whatever she wants and whenever Lacey would hand her some more hershey kisses Jen would unwrap them and give them to her! Lace just kept cramming them into her mouth till she didn't have anymore room! Chocolate was just running out of her mouth and down her chin! In the goody bags all the kids got plastic vampire teeth and so of course we had to get everyone to pose for pics! Some were more willing than others but everyone was good sports about it!! Fun times! Happy b-day Lace! We love you!!

Lacey is 2!

Happy Birthday to my Lacey Mae!! The big number 2!!!

A little about Lacey-

She is very funny! She talks alot. Seriously alot. You can't really understand much of what she says but she sure thinks you can! She is very stubburn and has a glare that while she thinks she is showing you how mad she is and that you should be scared is in all actuallity just plain funny and it is hard to keep a straight face!

She loves Tinkerbell and thinks that everything that has tinkerbell on it is hers and only hers and will fight anyone who touches it.

She is on the go all day and very nosey or curious depending on the spin you want to put on that particular trait.

She is also very very sweet and helpful. She has started asking for hugs at night or as she says "I a gug mom?"!

Room Changes!

Well, I repainted Dylans room because I didn't like how what I was painting was turning out! We also rearranged rooms alittle. We got bunkbeds for Abby and Dylan and put them in the small room (Dylan's old room) which is now a really pale pretty green. I figured we could get away with putting them in the same room for another year or two and by then I would be ready to redo a room anyway!! Lacey's bed just slides out from under the bunkbeds so that works out good! We then have moved all the toys into the other bedroom for a playroom. All this in hopes of keeping some kind of order. Dylan is into the "I-am-not-picking-up-anything-no-matter-how-much-stuff-you-bribe-me-with-or-how-much-timeout-i-am-in" stage. So I am trying to get it all contained into one area! I am also doing some chore cards to try and help things. So we will see how this all goes! I am still in the process of organizing the playroom. I am also excited about this change because the toys are not allowed in the bedroom, only in the playroom, so I will be able go through the toys and change them up while the kids are sleeping. Abby, Dylan, and Lacey are all very very light sleepers so I havent ever been able to clean up a room after they go to sleep. So this will be very nice!! Anyway so now I am getting things together to decorate the kids bedroom. I am doing it all in white and pale green-in my head it looks really great!! wish me luck! I will post some pics when I get it done!

Sarah and Yanni

Today started out not good. One of the little boys I babysit decided to pretty much not listen to anything I said and ended up knocking over a can of paint in Dylan's room. On the carpet. Not cool. Soooo MAD!!! Then he was mad about being in timeout for a while and the went on to take it out on his brother and bit him twice. More timeout. Then he didn't take a nap. Not cool. Lacey was crying all over the place cuz she doesn't feel good so I put her back in bed this morning. So by lunch I was totally done!!!! But the house was not! Well I should say half of the house was clean. So I put on one of my favorite cds, Yanni-in my time. It almost all piano music and just completely beautiful. It helped me calm down right away. This cd also reminds me of my sister. When I first heard it we were getting ready to leave Japan. We had had separate rooms for a couple years but when we got ready to move we were back in the same room together. I loved it! We had been through some rough times and were still able to keep our close relationship. That time wasn't the happiest for my sister but because we were able to spend so much time together it felt to me that I had my sister back. I love her so much! So anyway this music always makes me think of staying up late talking and laughing and I can even smell the base furniture we had because ours was packed up. I know that sounds kinda weird but it is all very comforting and makes me smile. Love you Sarah!

Climbing the Lilac Tree!

Ohio Again! Woohoo!!!

We were able to go out to Ohio last week. It was so much fun! We actually got out and did stuff instead of just vegging out like we usually do! Aside from seeing my fam, a lot of Bryan's fam was out there the blessing of his cousin Melissa's little girl Anna. It was fun to see some of his Utah family that we don't get to see that often! Sorry no pics of that! One day out there we went to the Children's Discovery Garden. This place is absolutely fantastic!! There are tons of flowers and activities for the kids, music makers hidden in a little maze, a water pump where they can fill up water cans and water everything, caves to explore and waterfall and a little stream to play in! The kids had a total blast! This was in the sensory garden, it totally plays dead when you touch it! I want one, it is so cool! The grounds around the children's area was absolutely beautiful-I wish my backyard could look like that!

We also went to one of the best parks! The Super Park on base. They have little walkways although this all of the kids loved it! Although I must say we didn't stay too long-it was hot and the wood totally soaks up the heat, it was twice as hot in the playground as it was just a few feet away at the picnic tables!! Poor Bryan got roped into climbing all through it with Lacey and then had the occasional "Hey Dad help me with this from Abby and Dylan! We also went to Carriage Hill Farm. We were sadly disappointed in the animal department although we did see a horse/cow/pig (hahaha! thats for you mom!!!!) In the visitor center they have a kids play area with chalk and slates t write on, a kitchen stocked with pioneer stuff. Abby, Dylan and Lacey loved it!! Funny enough the thing that got the most attention was this huge stuffed cow laying on the floor!

My parents have a full length mirror that Lacey was just entranced by. She would spend a good 20 minutes at a time laughing, dancing, and talking to herself! Totally funny! Everyone had a great time. I think even Bryan had fun this time, I think he usually gets a little bored, but he needed a nice break before he started school again! So all in all good times for everyone!
