Spring Concerts

Alright so I finally have time to post stuff-so here is the first of a couple!
So my parents lucked out this year and spring music concerts we the same time they were out here for Abby's baptism!  They only got to go to Dylan's because they left the next day before Abby's but it was still fun for them to go to one along with Bryan and I and Bill and Jenny(who always get to experiance the funness that is an elementary school music concert! hehehe!!)  Dylan spent most of the whole think like this, trying to find us in the audience.
If he wasnt looking then he was actually paying attention or........
trying to keep himself awake since the concert starts at the time he normally goes to bed! He was so funny!
I asked him what song he wanted me to take a video of, so he picked one and then barely sung or did any of the actions on that song!  I asked why he wasnt doing anything and he told me he was too tired to sing!

Abby got to be a "dancer" this year-she was so excited!  Both hers and Dylans concerts had to do with Old McDonalds Farm so she had to dress "country".  She loved it!

Abigail's Baptism

So I wanted to do something fun for Abby for her baptism and sort of wanted to get some pictures done but didnt want them with her in just a white dress because that seemed kinda weird to me and then I found this blog (http://www.71toes.com/2012/02/claires-baptism.html)and I was like this is it! So thanks to our second family over at Butler Photography Abby has some beautiful pictures!
We had Abby's baptism on saturday and it was was a beautiful day! I was super frazzled trying to get everything ready for it and for her birthday party we were having after. It was pretty crazy around here! I was a little worried for Abby, she was so beyond excited friday night she was crying. I was like oh man hopefully it isnt anticlimactic for her and she is just like that was it?! My mom and Jenny and I made a bazillion cake pops, which turned out super cute and I got some of the pictures developed to put together a little tablescape for the refreshments!
Abby decided that she wanted my mom to give the talk on baptism. It was wonderful! She talked about what baptism was (of course!) and then gave her a towel and talked about how she is clean like the towel and the towel will get dirty but it can be made clean again just like she can if she sins-my mom gave her a poem to go with it. Then she got to use it after she was baptism-Abby loved it!
I made a video to show while Abby and Bryan were changing-I just love the way it turned out! And Abby wrote her own testimony at the end-she is just so amazing to me!
Abby asked Jenny to give the talk on the Holy Ghost and it was amazing! Jenny is so awesome she has such a gift at talking and telling stories. She gave Abby a traffic light bookmark and talked about how the Holy Ghost is like a traffic light, it gives you lights and signals to help you choose the right. Sometimes you get a green signal and you know you are clear to do what you want but sometime you might get a red light and you need to stop and think about what you want to do. It was really cool.
both the talks were just perfect and Abby just loved it!
I tried to get pics of Abby with everyone there but she was nowhere to be found so I went to go just snap pics of people talking and Natalie was like "I am going to be in every picture you take!" and well she pretty much was! It was hilarious to see the look on peoples faces when she would just go stand by them while I took a pic!! She is so dang funny!
So I am totally not ok with this pic but I figured I would put it on-it will make my mom happy-I was so stressed and just glad that everything went well and Abby wasnt disappointed and well with how busy we were I didnt have time to do my hair the way I wanted it!
Abby and our Branch President.
It was a wonderfully peaceful exciting day. I think Abby was very pleased with all of it. The cake pops were yummy, the spirit was warm and strong, and Abby surrounded by friends and family who love her makes for an amazing day for my sweet little girl! I am so proud of Abby and the person she is becoming. I just love her so much!

Colby......

Seriously?!

Climbing up, on and over!

So Colby is really into climbing into and onto pretty much anything. He loves these little plastic bins the kids have some of their toys in. So if the lid is off then the toys get dumped and he takes the bin--gotta love a 16 month old!
From bins to baskets-if there is a laundry basket around Colby will be in it. It has clothes in it?-No problem! He will take care of that for you and give you a couple options! You can either have him take out the clothes before he gets in or he can get in and then throw the clothes out!
And from baskets to tables. Colby's legs are still a little too short for him to get up on the kitchen chairs (thankfully!) but after a few attempts he figured out how to get up on the picnic table we got out for Lacey's Valentine party (which I totally didnt get pics of! just picture four 4 yr olds decorating cookies and getting out every toy they can reach!) any way-at this point in time he hadnt figured out how to get down and you know me-why help when you can grab the camera and watch him figure it out on his own! He has to learn some how right! He probably would have gotten it but rescue came in the form of Abby. I keep telling Abby and Dylan that they have to let Colby figure things out on his own otherwise he wont know how to do anything!
and from tables to siblings! Abby , Dylan and Lacey all love to play on the computer and when one person gets on then everyone comes to watch! Colby decided that he wanted to watch and the only way he could see was sitting on someones back! So he took turns sitting on Abby and Dylan and while I think he could see fine on Abby---
it is just way more fun sitting on Dylan!

Makin Valentines!

We spent Sunday afternoon making school valentines. Abby and Dylan had fun-they drove me crazy! Dylan was soooo slow to write all his out! He would stop and watch what Abby was doing or stop to talk. I was like hurry up!!
Here is what we used----
and here is what we made!
Abby had to make a "mailbox" for her valentines so we mod podged some scrapbook paper onto a cereal box! I think she had fun making it although she wasnt really into using her fingers to spread the glue!
Then this morning Lacey and I made her valentines! She wanted to have a valentine party just like Abby and Dylan so we are having a couple of her friends over for some valentine fun tomorrow. She is so exicted! When Abby and Dylan started talking about what kind of valentines to make and their parties they were going to have at school Lacey was like I want a party too! So I was like alright we can have a part! She said "o.k. mom for my TinkerBell valentine party....."! I was like "um Lacey it is not a "TinkerBell"valentine party, it is just a valentine party! That girl and TinkerBell!

Rings!

We went over to Bryan's parents house for the Super Bowl on Sunday and the kids were done watching after about 5 minutes! So Jenny kept them entertained with a fun craft! Duct tape rings!
Lacey patiently waiting for Nana to make hers.
I dont know why she always looks away at the last minute when I am trying to take a cute pic of her! The rings are super easy and the girls love them!
